As you all know, we’re pretty big (ok, VERY big!) LEGO fanatics over here – so as you can imagine, we are SUPER excited for The LEGO Batman Movie that’s coming out – can’t wait! The LEGO Movie is a family favorite (everything is awesome!!), and so we’re eagerly anticipating this one. And it called for an Always Be Batman tee.
And so in anticipation of the upcoming movie, I whipped up a couple of tees – matching cousins 😉 I just love how they turned out!! And yep, FREE cut file today!
And here they are being matchy matchy:
Gotta have a Batman tee to play with your LEGO Batman!
Doesn’t this look like it’s going to be so good??? In the irreverent spirit of fun that made “The LEGO® Movie” a worldwide phenomenon, the self-described leading man of that ensemble – LEGO Batman – stars in his own big-screen adventure. But there are big changes brewing in Gotham, and if he wants to save the city from The Joker’s hostile takeover, Batman may have to drop the lone vigilante thing, try to work with others and maybe, just maybe, learn to lighten up.
Always Be Batman Tee
You’ll need:
–blank tee (tip – check the thrift stores! you’ll get high quality tees for a fraction of the cost)
—Silhouette Cut File (FREE! Download it HERE)

–Silhouette machine, white vinyl, yellow vinyl (I always buy mine from Expressions Vinyl)
IF YOU NEED TIPS ON USING HEAT TRANSFER VINYL, I have a post dedicated to that: Heat Transfer Vinyl
To Start off, use your machine to cut your vinyl – you’ll do it in two parts, for each of the two colors. Don’t forget to flip it horizontally!! You’ll be cutting from the back side, so the text needs to be backwards.
Then peel out the background – that is called “weeding”
Next up, iron it on. Remember, it’s more of a “press” and less of an “iron”
When it’s attached, just peel off that clear carrier sheet. You’ll want to it really mold into the fibers of the shirt – if you look close below you can see that:
Super cute, right?! And it comes together way easy – – so grab that outfit…
And then grab those LEGO Batman toys – and then head and see the movie!!

What font is “Unless You can be Batman” The design is not a compound path so the phrases do not come out as the same font you used.
Mandy Beyeler says
ah, thanks for the heads up!! I think I locked in the fonts now if you redownload the cut file – – but anyways, it’s called Moon Flower Bold – hope that helps!

Is it free only for the Silhouette? I can’t find the file from cricut?
Mandy Beyeler says
it’s designed within the silhouette software, so it doesn’t convert to the cricut software, sorry! BUT, it’s just text, so you can type it out in the Cricut software pretty easily. Have fun with it!
