For What I Wore Wednesday today, I wanted to talk about this super-cute dress I received from eShakti :
You know I love eShakti. Their dresses have a great fit, and on top of that you can customize them – change the length, the sleeves, the neckline, etc. I can’t say enough about them – they’re my go-to dress shop.
Well I was able to pick out a dress to blog about, and went with this super-cute hearts one. When I got it, I was unsure about it – the dress was actually navy (I thought it was black) and the neckline that I had customized was a bit more open than I thought (my fault for picking that one).
I struggle with navy – I never know what to wear with it! But on some blog I remember reading that hot pink pairs with navy. And so I gave it a go. And I happen to have a hot pink shirt as well, so I layered that, which added just a hint of color to the neckline and helped make it less open. Win win. And guess what – I loved it! I want to embrace navy now – – everyone keeps saying how it’s a neutral, and I might be starting to see that. Someone suggested pairing it with kelly green as well, and I think that will be my next color combo to try.
I love that the dress has a flattering fit – comes in at the waist and flairs a little at the skirt. And it has PCOKETS, which takes up a million more steps. It was a little loose in the bust area (obviously my problem, not the dress) so next time I might custom order on size – where you can make the top one size and the bottom a different size.
So if you’re dress shopping, the first place I’ll tell you to try is eShakti – go see what you love over there! Real fashion for real people.
Other dresses I own from them (I have a couple more, but apparently I never took pics in them…) – click the pictures to find out more about each dress…
That dress is so lovely! I’m a bit fan of eShakti in the first place, and I think that the pink underneath adds so much to the dress! Navy and pink really look great together!
Navy is also great with lavender and reds. Honestly, the only color I don’t pair navy with is black. And this dress is super cute!
