I just wanted to do a quick show-off of the cute suspenders I made the other day – -I was pattern-testing for Little Lizard King (one of my sponsors – see her button on the sidebar)
My model wasn’t too cooperative, but I got him to stand still with a cookie bribe (funny how he eats it like a ring!) – – a couple more shots:
I made the bowtie on a whim by just sewing 2 rectangles wrong-side together (leaving a hole) and then turning it right-side out. I wrapped the middle with a strip of fabric, hand sewed it together in the back, then slid an alligator clip through it to attach it to the shirt. Super quick and wonky, but it worked.
He got lots of compliments at church – I think this would be super cute to make for Easter, matching sister dresses or something….
LOVE when something is CUTE but BOYISH too ๐ This is exactly what I had in mind for my little guys for Easter! Sounds like your bow tie was easier than the one I was looking at making- I may just go with the rectangle idea instead! ๐
Cuteness!
