I finished another bag in the Amy Butler book Amy Butler’s Style Stitches: 12 Easy Ways to 26 Wonderful Bags – it was the zipper pouch. I made the “small” and it was much bigger than I pictured – here it is in comparison to my hand:
But still, it was cute. And I liked the challenge of making something with a zipper (side note, I just found 30 zippers at a thrift store for $3 total – score!) – –
Fun and cheerful – I thought about adding a ruffle or a few fabric flowers, but I ended up keeping it plain.
Now, want to know something weird – – last month’s bag (found HERE)I entered in the Sew Along and randomly won the prize – wahoo!
Well, that’s not what was weird – this is: I sent my address to Bree and it turns out we live less than 15 minutes from each other – who knew!?!! So we met for lunch at a local crepe shop – me, Kate (my cousin and behind-the-scenes blog support), and Bree (check out Her Blog HERE)
It was a fun time! I have yet to make something from my prize of fabric, but when I do I’ll let you know – – oh, and another challenge on a different blog, using the same book:

Congrats! I love the little pouch – I need to find some zippers and practice, practice, practice! Is it too late to join the sew along?

How fun! Is this the cousin you always dress alike?! You both have pink and a gray jacket, flowers in the hair and a floral purse!
Total score on the zippers and the pouch colors are fabulous!
