I received a sand dollar w/ greenery & red ribbon as an ornament from my Brother’s girlfriend, now his wife, & I LOVE it. It is put some where different EVERY year & she has fun looking for it still. OMG, this has been going on for about 25 years now! I felt she really put a lot of thought & heart into making the ornament, with my name being Chelle, {sounds like Shell} no one else had ever put the 2 together as a gift. She is VERY crafty & was a big influence for me becoming crafty as well.
I love the crocheted potholders my grandma makes!

The best handmade gifts I have received are the ones the kids make for me. I have handpainted trivets, plaster hand molds, ornaments…the list goes on. I look forward to getting them each year, and it also catalogs how much the kids have grown in a year.
Fun! I want to sew Christmas skirts this year.
Embroidered towels from my best friend!
When I graduated high school,my granny made me a quilt. During the making of, several aunts and uncles, when visiting, would quilt along with her. It was all hand quilted and done with love. She, and one of my uncles, is no longer with us, so it is very special to me.
My mom made me a cross stitch when I got married and one for each of my kids births. They are priceless treasures.
The best handmade gift I ever received was a quilt made by my Mom from the fabric left from my bridesmaids dresses, which Mom also made! Brings back memories of good friends every time I use it.
I’m sorry I don’t see the question for the comment, but I would love to win the Baby Lock. I love to create things and am working on improving my sewing skills. Thank-you for the give-away! Love your blog!
