this is a sponsored post, but all opinions are my own
Today is the first day of summer for us! School ended yesterday and we are ready for the fun of summer!! Are you planning any fun parties this summer? Have you considered a brunch party? I LOVE breakfast food, and so I love the idea of it. I want to share this Pinwheel Summer Brunch Party with you and I know you’ll start planning one – it’s just perfect!
I started the party tablescape with the theme of Pinwheels and it came into it’s own from there.
This mega post will cover BOTH the recipe for the breakfast pinwheels (yum!) AND the craft of creating the pinwheel decor (fun!), in addition to the tablescape. Lucky you, it’s 3 posts in one today! I’ve even got a few different pin images for ya, in case you want to put them on different boards, etc etc (I’ve got ya covered – I know I like to be organized like you!)
First let’s cover the tablescape – it’s so fun!
Pinwheel Summer Brunch Party Tablescape
The pinwheels are perfect for summer and add that fun color to the table. And all the fruit adds color as well. It makes me want to load up my plate just looking at it!
A variety of fruits is a staple at any brunch. Another brunch must-have is the orange juice – I am so weak for orange juice! Every glass of Florida Orange Juice provides the Amazing 5: great taste, vitamin C, potassium, folate and no added sugar. #AmazingInside
The breakfast cake was super simple – it’s just a blueberry muffin mix, but I baked it in cake form instead of muffin form 😉
The recipe for the Breakfast Pinwheels is almost as easy!!
Breakfast Pinwheels
You’ll need:
-bacon and/or breakfast sausage
-cheese (I used cheddar and mozzarella)
-chopped green onions
-crescent dough sheet (or a can of crescent rolls, rolled out flat)
I made 2 different varieties of breakfast pinwheels. First was Sausage and Mozzarella. Roll out the dough. Top with cheese, meat, and green onions.
Roll up on the long side. Slice into sections that are approximately 1 inch thick.
Place on pan and bake according to dough package instructions.
I also made a bacon and cheddar variety. You can add in your favorite breakfast combinations! They’re super simple to put together.
And they turn out ah-mazing! Perfect for brunch because they can be grab-n-go, and perfect for anytime! You can even make them ahead and just keep them ready-to-eat in the fridge or freezer.
Paper Pinwheels
Next up let’s talk paper pinwheels! You know I had to incorporate a craft into the tablescape 😉 Paper pinwheels are simple as well, and all you need is paper and hot glue. And they just add a perfect pop of fun to the decor.
To assemble the pinwheels, start with a square piece of paper. Fold it into triangles. Unfold and cut along those fold lines, leaving about 1 inch uncut in the middle. Bring one corner of each triangle to the center of the pinwheel and secure with hot glue. Optional: cover center with button. You can follow the steps outlined in the image below:
Now you’re armed with ideas and ready to tackle a Pinwheel Summer Brunch Party of your own!

These looks really good! I bet my picky eater would even like these. I have never been good with making those pinwheels though. I should give it another try 😉
