Money Wreath – Graduation Gift Idea
- FloraCraft Make It: Fun® Foam: Wreath (in desired size)
- FloraCraft® StyroCutter® Plus – this foam cutter is a dream come true!!
- (25) Dollar Bills (I used $1 bills, but think if it were 5s or 10s!)
- Straight Pins
- Burlap Ribbon
- Tags, Mini Clothespins, and Twine (for banner)
Watch it all come together!!
Using the StyroCutter Plus (one of my favorite tools!!), cut the entire wreath in half width-wise. This is because it needs to be skinnier in order for the bills to be able to wrap around it. This also means that you can make two wreaths from one wreath form (bonus!). Be careful when using this tool as it gets very hot. Read the packaging instructions carefully. Also, let the tool do the work. If the wand is bending, you’re pressing too hard!
Next, simply wrap each bill around the wreath and pin in the back. Overlap as you go to cover the entire wreath.
You can see here how it comes together on the back:
Create a fun banner to add to the front by pinning a length of twine across the front and hanging little tags with mini clothespins. The saying is up to you but every grad is thinking “WAHOO!!”.
Last, add a loop of burlap ribbon to the top to hang.
That’s all there is to it – fun, right?!?!
