Hi! I’m Ginger, & I blog over at Ginger Snap Crafts.
It’s a fun place where I share my easy, simple & cute crafty ideas & projects.
{Would love to have YOU drop by sometime!}

It’s such an honor to be over here at
Sugar Bee Crafts.
Today I’d love to share my cute & easy{lighted} Christmas block.
{Supplies}
glass block
vinyl cut outs*
holiday ribbon
mini Christmas light set
*I made these using my Silhouette clip art & software.
Make sure you clean your block & remove any labels or price tags.
Then you just start layering your vinyl.
You put on solid red, green or white squares on first.
Then add a decorative overlay, and finally you’ll put the letters on last.
Then you remove the cap on the bottom & put your mini Christmas lights inside.
Leave the plug hanging out of course.
Add a festive ribbon & then plug in! That’s it! 🙂
Would love to have you over to Ginger Snap Crafts!
On my blog you’ll also find some more fun tutorials.

Great tutorial , thank you!!!
Love this!! So cute!
I love this. One of my favorite gifts from students was a glass Christmas block, with a pretty gold bow. But, I’m thinking I”ll give it a “makeover” based on this idea. Could I get vinyl letters precut? Or would scrapbooking letter stickers work? Hmm….what do you think?
Very pretty, and the layered letters are just so cute!
Fantastic Ginger! I think I will let my kids each decorate one of these!
I’m sure scrapbooking letters or even letter stickers would work just as well! Thanks for the comments, ladies! 🙂

Just another pretty reason why I want a Silhouette….it’s a bit out of Santa’s price range this year….maybe 2012 though. I’d be really excited to try this though. Scrap book and card making supplies would definitely work.
Super idea 🙂

That is so cute!! I have a block like that but it doesn’t have the hole- hmm need to find one.
