Aren’t those cookies the cutest ever?? A perfect finish to a fun-filled day at the dairy farm. They were made by Adriane, dairy farm wife, and I love following her adventures on instagram at @TheLittleHouseOnTheDairy
why hello there Miss Diary Cow 😉 My girls and my mom and I had a fun trip with Midwest Diary Association recently to a the Heins Farm, a family dairy. We learned tons and it was great to see that even larger-scale farms like this one are still family owned and operated. There are real people and real families behind the milk that is being produced.
It was great to have the kiddos there, so they could see where their food comes from:
These cows were only hours old – so cute!!
They even got to climb the mountain of cotton seed (they use it in their unique special feed mix for the cows).
Bloggers kiddos, hanging out after lunch – fun times!
I really appreciate farmers and family farms for all that they do to contribute to our nation’s food system. Seeing how much they care about the animals and quality of product gives me confidence in where my food is coming from. And I appreciate that my kiddos caught a behind-the-scenes glimpse of where our milk comes from before we buy it from the grocery store.
