Hair Twists

I can’t be the only one out there weak for Hair Tools (hello, crimper?!  I have GOT to get my hands on that old-school awesomeness).  Well I tried out a new one this week that is really fun, the Conair Quick Twist – we’re hooked!  Twists are super popular right now, and I always have a hard time making them on my own and getting them to twist up properly.  This makes it so easy.

A quick messy bun is a common go-to hairstyle at our house, but I wanted to add a little pizzazz to it, and I knew twists would be the perfect solution.  It came out really cute! #QuickTwist

Using the Quick Twist is easy – 3 basic steps:

1: Lock ends of hair into place in the styler and pull tight.

2: Slide the button up to turn on the twist to easily twist two strands all the way up.

3: Turn the top of the styler to twist the strands together, making it as loose or as tight as you want it.

Start with combed hair – –

And then pull back a pony tail, but only from the center – leave a rim of hair all the way around

You’re going to be working the twists in the hair that is left down.  Grab a section – –

Then split that section in two.  Insert one strand into one clip on the Quick Twist and the other strand into the other clip.  To open the clips, just push up on the button, as shown below:

And then you just turn on the Quick Twist and it will twist up the hair – so easy!

Then twist those two strands by manually rotating the tool.  There’s an arrow on it so you know which way to turn it:

Then pull that twist back toward the ponytail:

And pin into place.  Work your way around the whole rim of hair.

Then just pull the ponytail into a bun like normal – voila!  I love the extra interest that the twists add.
