This is a sponsored post, but all opinions are my own, and I LOVE giving you fun snack ideas!
Are you guys already prepping for the big game coming up?? We get together with family every year it’s always way fun, but my favorite part is always the eats, not so much the game 😉 . I even had to look up who was playing this year, so I could prep the right color of snacks, ha! My go-to snack lately is popcorn and it is a perfect addition to a Game Day party. Today I have a fun idea for a Game Day Head-to-Head Popcorn Bar! And Orville Redenbacher’s microwave popcorn makes this snack so easy!
I love how it’s super super easy to put together and also super super yummy. And party guests get to have the fun of putting together their own snack to declare their love for the team they’re rooting for!
Game Day Head-to-Head Popcorn Bar
You’ll need:
—Orville Redenbacher’s Tender White Microwave Popcorn
–White Chocolate candy melts, pastry bag, sprinkles (optional)
–Chocolate candies in team colors
First up, go ahead and pop the popcorn – so quick and easy (and yummy!). Did you know that microwave popcorn is a delicious, whole grain snack? It brings fresh-popped taste and recipe versatility to any football viewing party, with surprising benefits that keep snackers satisfied.
Then melt the candy melts – an awesome trick to to melt them INSIDE of the pastry bag, in the microwave, so when it’s melted, it’s ready for use!
Spread popcorn across a cookie sheet. Drizzle white chocolate over the popcorn:
Optional, while the white chocolate is still hot, add sprinkles. This worked this year because both teams have the color red as one of their colors.
Let cool. (To speed it up, you can place the pan in the refrigerator.)
Meanwhile, get the cups ready. I found brown cups and added a fun vinyl “laces” sticker to make them look like footballs.
That’s it!
Popcorn Bar Set Up
You’ll want to set up an area that gives guests the option to create their own color mix on their popcorn. A dish of candies colored for one team and a dish of candies colored for the other team. Popcorn for everyone 😉 Then they can make their mix and be ready to start snacking! A toppings and mix-ins bar is a great way to take your favorite microwave popcorn to the next level at your party, so you can also have other toppings available such as spices, seasonings, dried fruit, mixed nuts and dark chocolate. . Microwave popcorn is a whole grain snack and many brands, such as Orville Redenbacher’s Naturals, have zero grams of trans fat.
Game Day
Have a great time with all your snacks while watching the big game!
