I have a favorite go-to oatmeal chocolate chip recipe but I don’t have a go-to regular chocolate chip recipe. So it’s experiment time. I was going to make about 4 different recipes, but I was worn out (and half-sick from cookies!) after 2 so now only aim for 2 recipes in one day. I just found a couple off of All Recipes with really high ratings. So I tried:

The plan was to try them and then eliminate one recipe and then try other recipes, etc. But they were both yummy – no elimination needed. The first recipe called for pudding – wierd, but kept the cookies soft and delicious. The second recipe called for dropping 1/4 cup of dough on the cookie sheet – that’s huge! I only fit 6 cookies on a cookie sheet.
Both were great recipes. But now I want to throw it out to you – do you have a chocolate chip cookie recipe that I need to try?? Let me know and I’ll add it to my list of testing…..
actually the recipe on the nestle chocolate chips bag is pretty good.. and u can’t go wrong with that! You know what’s really great to try too… is to put them in a pan and make chocolate chip cookie BARS!! my friend in college used to make them ALL OF THE TIME (freshman 15.. lol).. but were SO so delish. if she uses some other recipe other than the bag, i’ll let you know 🙂 I have to try those oatmeal choco chip ones though!
My favorite is the Neiman Marcus recipe with a touch of espresso powder (I sometimes just use instant coffee). I do it as cookie bars in my 9×9 pan. Really good.
I LOVE this recipe from my mom for Mrs. Fields chocolate chip cookies. They are delicious and the recipe makes a ton, so we are always able to freeze some.
I love my big cookie recipe. You certainly can make individual cookies with it, but I’ve become way too lazy and feel the only way to make it is in the big cookie form!

These are the best I’ve ever tasted.
I just made a batch of these over the weekend and they are the best I’ve had. The sea salt sprinkle on top sounded weird at first but was a nice added touch. The only change we made was using Ghirardelli milk chocolate chip instead of the suggested bittersweet disks.
