Alright everyone – – this is the week to think about crafting your Advent Calendar to count down to Christmas…
Have you seen this fun one from Silhouette?? It’s awesome – a frame with wires running across and clips, and then you craft what to hang from the clips…
At this price, it’s worth grabbing (because it’s limited edition so it won’t be around forever) to use in some home decor all year round – I’m thinking it’d be a cute way to display pictures (maybe instagram pics, cute hanging squares) hanging from those wires and clips. Or mini kid’s artwork. Or anything – I know you have ideas!
If you want to see what other crafters have done (you know you do), check out the Silhouette Pinterest Board for their advent calendar – amazing ideas over there!
AND – through Friday, remember that you can get 40% off with the code SUGARBEE – so that means the Advent Calendar that’s normally $40 comes out to $24 – what a deal!! Here’s the direct link to the Silhouette Advent Calendar and here’s what it looks like after you enter the code:
Included are about 20 shapes – remember that shapes are $1 each in the online store, so that’s a $20 value right there, and the Advent Calendar only costs $24 – plus a big ole frame, which you couldn’t find anywhere for under $15, maybe even $25 – it’s like you’re making money on the deal 🙂
The shapes can be used for this project or other projects in the future – the possibilities are endless. I am saving the shapes for future projects because I had something else in mind for my Advent Calendar…
A few years ago after Christmas I found a 24 pack of these plastic ornaments that open – I thought they would be PERFECT for an Advent Calendar and I’m super excited to finally finish the project. I just used vinyl numbers to mark each ornament. I meant to go every-other in color, but had an obvious flaw on #13
And look how they open – just snap open and closed…and look – 4 year old candy that was nasty to begin with – awesome:
Anyways, I had these ornaments for years but didn’t know how to display them – the Silhouette Advent Calendar was perfect! For $24, it’s a steal – so go grab it (even if you don’t have a Silhouette Machine, you can still get the Advent Calendar and hang anything you want!).
While you’re there getting 40% off, I would add some vinyl to your cart as well. And heat-transfer vinyl for making custom tshirts. And maybe some rhinestones. And…..

I was going to make my own, but that is a super deal! Do you know the dimensions of the frame? I looked on their website, but it didn’t say…
Mandy @ Sugar Bee Crafts says
from the outer edge of the frame, it’s about 19 inches by 22 inches
