If you have boys, you know gift-giving can be a little tricky – well, we’ve found a great one! Both my 7 year old and my 12 year old really had fun with it – it’s the Roto Motion Mixer from Roseart. You get to cast mold dinosaurs and paint them. It has seriously been a big hit at our house – I love that the boys enjoy crafting without knowing it 😉 It combines science and crafts all in one!

We tried out both the dino lab and the extra power pack, so we can make a TON of dinos. The dino lab makes 6 dinosuars , and I love that you can grab those extra powder packs to reuse your dino lab over and over and make even more.
I didn’t need to help them at all with the making of the dinos – they were able to do it themselves. My 12 old helped my 7 year old with a few things, but mostly even my younger kiddo could do it all without assistance.
The fun of casting something into a mold, and using their own manpower (hand powered, NO batteries needed!!) to make it, is awesome. Love the sparking of creativity.
And the big reveal, when the dino pops out of the mold, is super fun – “woah!!” – a sense of accomplishment that they created something from nothing.
And then they really get to have at it with decorating and painting – every kiddo I know loves to paint, and this is no exception. You get to customize with 4 dino paints and 2 aging washes that are included.
