this is a sponsored post, but all opinions are my own and I LOVE popcorn as a snack AND crafting, so this post is the perfect combo 😉
What are you new resolutions or goals this year? Try to eat a little healthier? Try to craft a little more? Well, it’s your lucky day because I’ve got a project for you that helps with both of those 😉 I know several of you might have gotten a new cutting machine for the holidays, or maybe you’ve had one but never tried cutting vinyl with it – so I’m going to show you how to use adhesive vinyl on these super-cute DIY Popcorn Snack Bags! And did you know that microwave popcorn, such as Orville Redenbacher’s Microwave Popcorn, can leave you fuller and more satisfied than other snacks, even with a reasonable 100 calorie portion – it’s a perfect snack if you’re trying to eat a little healthier and struggle with snack options .
Aren’t these snack bags just the cutest?! Keep them for yourself to grab on the go, or make some for friends who will thank you forever – –
Some snacks can leave you feeling hungrier than when you started (I know! I just want more and more and more!) But microwave popcorn like Orville Redenbacher’s , can leave youmore satisfied than other snacks – it’s been tested. In head-to-head tests with milk chocolate, granola bars, pretzels, almonds, party mix and potato chips, 100 calorie portions of Orville Redenbacher’s SmartPop® take the edge off of hunger better than these other snacks. And it’s so yummy – I love snacking on popcorn!
You can even snack while you’re making this project 😉 Let’s get started!
DIY Popcorn Snack Bags
You’ll need:
–popcorn
–vinyl, vinyl cutter
-transfer tape
First up, cut your design on your cutting machine. If you’d like to use the same ones I did, I have them as a free cut file! POPCORN SNACK BAG VINYL
Then you cut your design and weed it – which means by hand you’ll pull out all the extra background vinyl. Then cut a piece of transfer tape sized to fit over your design, and put it down right on top of the design:
Rub it into place, then flip it over and slowly peel the back off of the vinyl. The vinyl should stick to the transfer tape.
So then you take that and put it on top of your project – in this case the bags. And rub into place.
Then just peel the transfer tape off the top to reveal your project, voila!!
You can reuse a piece of transfer tape several times.
Now comes the yummy part – – go ahead and pop the popcorn:
Then fill the snack bags with a snack portion:
I think folded the top of the bag over and punched a couple of holes for twine.
I used a couple of pieces because it was cute, and then just tied it in a bow – simple and perfect.
I think they turned out really great!
Crafting and Snacking go hand-in-hand!
We love popcorn at our house, and it goes beyond just having it for family movie night. Popcorn can fit into other family times such as, eating your popcorn snack while working on a craft together (my favorite!), or to snack on after school while reviewing everyone’s day, or to accompany game night. It’s the best snack to reach for anytime! Orville Redenbacher’s is committed to bringing the best popcorn from our farms to your family. In 1952, Orville Redenbacher himself hand-selected a small group of family farmers to grow his exclusive popcorn kernel. Did you know that today, their family farmers still grow only Orville’s high quality, non-GMO, 100% whole grain kernels? And that they pop up lighter and fluffier than ordinary popcorn. Yum!!

These are so fun!
Cute idea, Mandy! These bags would be great for a classroom snack. I am sure the kids would love it!
